We're Danielle & Conan
Every intentional decision, all the joyful moments, partnered with the quiet expressions of love have led to this moment. It's uniquely yours and it should be celebrated. Fully and with attention to detail.
You should know, we think it matters the MOST.
And we believe that is exactly how you should feel about your love story too.
There is infinite beauty in capturing something as abstract as love. It isn't tangible and oftentimes feels invisible to the naked eye. The key as photographers is to be present. To capture it. We believe the most important element of photography is the story that it tells. In a world that is largely viewed through the lens of the internet, it can be tempting to think your story doesn't matter.
Conan's hometown church had a youth leader internship program that Danielle and her then boyfriend were selected for. Conan, a drummer on the worship team, remembers he couldn't help but be intrigued by Danielle as she sat in the front row on her first visit to the church. While everyone assumed Danielle and her boyfriend would soon be engaged, the relationship ended just one month into the internship. Danielle had definitely noticed the cute drummer, so when he asked her out two weeks later, she said yes! Now, 17 years of marriage, three kids and a fluffy golden retriever later, they are still inseparable. God definitely writes the best stories.
Our story is your typical Boy meets girl - Girl has a boyfriend - Boyfriend ends up the MC at Boy and girl's Wedding...
I may not have seen my career as a photographer coming but God sure did! In no time, I was consuming every bit of education I could find on photography, mastering the use of light and learning posing techniques. Now I can't imagine spending my days doing anything else!
With God, there are no accidents!
But the truth is the first time I picked up a camera professionally was completely by accident! I was living in a new town and needed a part time job. Having years of retail experience, I applied for a sales position at Sears. Imagine my surprise when I reported for my first day of work and they asked me what I knew about cameras.
This is the part of the story where I am supposed to tell you about how I have always wanted to be a photographer...
